Fancy Frame

Hello Friends

I am still alive LOL, its been a long and tough road for me lately
but I am trying hard to get back on with life so here is
my first posting in a very long time.

oh man that was so long ago,
I won a package of a die cut frame out of chipboard
from Vicki Chrisman  it was from a die
that she had designed for AccuCut
and this is what I made with it.
It was sooo darn much fun to play with!
Thank you Vicki!!!!!!!!
If you click on her name it will take you to her blog,
to see all her fabulous projects she is very inspirational!!!

So on to the pictures.

I love the soft look of it.

 Front and back view

I love this image I found online some where she is so cute.
I think the frame would make a really nice one for a wedding picture.

Forgive me I am very rusty on posting, so hope it comes out okay.
I would highly recommend you checking out this frame that Vicki
designed its fun to work with.
Hope you enjoyed this project and hopefully it
won't take me so long to post again.
I pray your all doing well!!!

Hugs
Lana

Craft Show 2012

Hello Everyone!

I know I have been MIA again, story of my life any more LOL.
Sorry!!!
Hopefully all these pictures will make up for it.
So grab a cup of your favorite beverage and sit back and relax.

Today I want to share with you some pictures
from the Craft Show I was part of here in N.E.Ohio,
thanks to Darlene aka Dar's Crafty Creations !!!
She told me a few years ago about this Craft Show and
that she was a vendor there, so I went each year and browsed
around and purchased items, never havng the nerve to try
to get in as a vendor. I finally got up nerve enough
to try and I was accepted which surprised me
since there is usually a waiting list. I had a
great day and sold over 30 items! WOW was I shocked!
Another good friend of mine helped me that
day her name is Wendy and she was a fabulous helper!!

THANK YOU Wendy, I couldn't have done it without you!
Without these two ladies I wouldn't have been able to do
this so a BIG shout out to them both, thank you ladies!!!

Here is a picture of my table that Darlene took for me
since I was still half asleep when I left
home and I forgot my camera LOL!

Here is a picture of Darlene's table

Click here to go to Darlene's Blog for lots of great inspiration!

Here is a close up of the banner I made using words
that Darlene thought up for me. For the life of me
I couldn't come up with  clever words to tell people
that some of the items I had for sale were used and made into
something new ! So once again I dialed 911 Darlene LOL
really I emailed her LOL and she came up with the perfect
words at the drop of a hat. Once again Dar to the rescue!!!
She is good I tell ya!!
So here is what I made using those words to
make my banner for my table display.

Here are some before and after views
of some of the treasures I re-did.

The button was mounted on a magnet
so it could be moved around or removed altogether.

Oops some how I forgot to get a before picture of this one yikes,
well it was a plain cream colored box with a place for a baby picture
and it's a music box.
Well that's more then enough for now LOL
Hope I have made up for being MIA lately.
Hugs
Lana

Wedding Card

Hi Everyone !

I sure hope your staying dry and warm. You
can sure tell it's fall time here in Northeastern Ohio!

Today I want to share with you a very
unusual wedding card I made for a dear friends
daughter who is getting married this week.
They are having a very unique wedding. The theme
is Vintage with Vintage Airplanes !!!
Yep very unique and just up my alley!
I have been told the table decorations are going to be
FauxVintage books, real antique items and old family photos of
Grandparents and Great Grandparents. So in keeping with that
theme, I made this "book type" wedding card using photos
of the happy couple on the day he proposed and
when she accepted. Hope you like it and as usual it's much
better looking in real life. I still haven't mastered
taking great photo's at all LOL!

Can you see the airplane label from the JustRite stamp set
has a hint of stickles around the frame to match
the inside paper. I used Distress
markers and ink to color the image with.

In this shot I folded back the ribbon I used as a book marker.
Hard to see but I frayed the end of the ribbon with the TH
scratcher tool to make it look old
.

Well there you have it my vintage "book" wedding card.
It sure was fun to make and the Happy Couple loved it !!!
Made my day to hear they were pleased with it.
AND to top it off I had showed it to my group of church
ladies and one lady asked me to make another one only this one is to be
a western theme but using the same inside papers hummmm time
to put my thinking cap on!! LOL
Well again I hope I have inspired you to think
outside the box, get inky and have fun.
God bless you all!
Hugs

Flip Flop

Hello Everyone!
Hope your all having a wonderful day today.
I want to share with you a fabulous little project I did
using the new template I got  in Zoar, Ohio.
It is the cutest template and so easy to make and the ideas are endless.
June Knaack the owner of store
designed this and it's adorable you have to go to her site
and see all the ideas she has for it !! But before you do
here is the project I made.

I made this card for my neighbor's little girl Lilly it was for
her third birthday. She has a pair of flip flops and loves them
so I thought it would be a cute card for her . Her mother tells me
she is still carrying it around and playing with it
 all the time ahhhhh!!!

Here is another one I did as a little ballet slipper shoe

Well I hope this inspires you to get busy making some fun projects
and to go to The Stamp Pad and check out all the GREAT
stuff she has there to sell AND she teaches you how to use
lots of great things! Tell her I sent ya !!!
Hugs

Wedding Card

Happy Sunday Everyone!

I pray your having a wonderful relaxing day!
I am under the weather again but in time this too shall pass.
I thought I would take a minute today and share
a wedding card I made a while back for our
neighbors, they are such a sweet young couple.
Her attedants wore charcoal gray dresses
and carried red and pink flowers all of which
I knew ahead of time so I tried to use that in my card.

The wedding was so beautiful !
I pray they have a very long and happy marriage.
I have been married for forty years to my wonderful husband.
Some have asked how did you make it forty years
my answer is, to keep God first,
have a forgiving heart and a good sense of humor.
It's a "daily" decision you make to love someone and its hard work.
But its so worth it!

Well I hope I have inspired you to get inky.
Hugs and Blessings to you all!

Jewelry Box Challenge

Happy Friday Everyone!!

Well  my friend Darlene  aka "Dars Crafty Creations" and I
are at it again and this time we have
another lady Nan G.  aka "Froggy Designs"
who joined us for our friendly little challenge. Welcome Nan G!
This time we altered a jewelry box that we got at our
local thrift store. Incase this is your first time visiting
here I will explain that Darlene and I go shopping for
treasures that we can alter and we get items that are
identical or as close as possible then we pick an item
and alter it then tell each other when we are done
then set a date to post it and excitedly wait to see what each has
done with their item. It's so much fun to see how different
we each redo our item. We never know what the other
person has done until we are finished.
This time we also stipulated ahead of time that we had
to use the Graphic 45 paper called "A Ladies Diary".

So here now is my jewelry box before I did anything to it.

Now here is the finished piece,
it has a battery flicker candle in it
to use as a nightlight.

Well there you have it my repurposed jewelry box.
I hope you stop over to Darlene and Nan G blogs and see
what they have done with their jewelry boxes and please let us
each know what you think of our projects we would love to know!
Thank you for taking the time to stop and visit !!
Hope you have a wonderful day May God bless you all.
Hugs
Lana

P.S. If you have any questions about my project please feel free to ask.
I didn't use the lid I kept it for another project I hope
to make in the near future.

Hi Friends
I hope you are having a wonderful day.
Its in the 90's here today in NE Ohio
phew very warm, so glad I have AC.

Well today I finally finished a project I have
had in the works for almost two years YIKEES!!
Did I just say two years LOL ?? Yep it's one I kept
putting back for another day. Ever have one of those
projects???? Well I decided the other day to just get r done!!
So here it is!

There you have it.
I took a card I had made
and added it to a 12 x 12 canvas that I covered in Graphics 45
scrapbook paper. I used lots of TH Distress inks and some Glimmer mist
which doesn't show in the photo but in real life it shows quite well.
I would love to know what you think of my creation,
so leave me a comment I would surely appreciate it .
Hugs and God bless you all!!
Lana
