My Craft Class Room

Hello everyone, did you think I had fallen off the face of the earth LOL. I have been very busy, as I said in my last posting, doing a very BIG project. Well today I got it all done, yeah finally!!! I have been working on an art project for my class room, that is in my basement. The following pictures will show you all the projects that I have done the past few years for the other walls, so today's wall art finally completes all the walls. Phew!! Each project was made to look something like a stamped card.

This first picture is an actual oil painted canvas measuring 54 inches in diameter, that I got for $2.00 at a church garage sale and I just added Stampin Up cardstock to make it look like scalloped edges, I then added the wood letters I got from Micheal's to the wall. All the walls together spell out
Create,Inspire, Timeless, Beauty.

This next picture is made using fabric I got from Walmart that I cut  all apart to make these several art decorations. The rectangle "card" is 59 x40 inches,LOL it's foam core board covered in Stampin Up CS, old tin lids painted to resemble brads and ribbon made from parts of the material sewn with some old real wired ribbon inside it to make it stiff enough to shape it. The material birds were glued to cardboard and cut out, I then used fun tac to stick them to the wall. You can see by the 6ft tables and chairs how big things really are!
Here is a close up of the rectangle card.

My Clock
This clock is made using a cheap clock I had from Walmart and hanging it in the middle of the flower I made. The flower is 36 x 24 inches. The flower and leaves are made from an old Stampin Up set that I stamped then I copied the image and enlarged it on my printer in parts then cut it out of SU Cardstock and added more ink with a  sponge. The bird is from the previous pictured project using scraps of the material. I bent the flower and leaves then used fun tac to make it very 3D like. All of these were the projects I already had completed, but this next one is the one I just finished today.

In the picture below you can see the table under the clock, the skirt material has daisy's on it too!
The butterflies are all made from one stamp, it's a retired one from Stampin Up, that I again enlarged on my printer in parts then colored with my copic markers and bent to make them kind of 3D like and I used fun tac to adhere to the wall. The circle is foam core board and is 42 inches in diameter, covered in fabric from Walmart. The flower is another unknown stamp, the leaf is a new stamp from Heartfelt Creations, the pron leaf is a Martha Stewart punch enlarged on my printer too. LOL I used alot of printer ink trying to get the right sizes! LOL  The letters are wood ones from Micheals. The "pearl pin" is a wooden dowel painted with a silver marker, the pearl is a plastic Easter egg from Walmart it had candy in it, I painted it with pearl paint from Michaels punched out a hole in the bottom too glue the dowel inside it. It looks realistic to me LOL. The "satin bow" is made from acetate material and pellon from JoAnne's sewn together. So there you have it my completed class room. Would love to hear your comments on it. My personal stamping room is up stairs in the main part of the house, some day I will take pictures of it to share but for now its veg out time in front of the TV! I am so tired out, creating BIG cards is hard work !! LOL

My daffodils are up and will soon be in full blossom, yippee, (big smile)! I am so looking forward to seeing all the beautiful flowers, as I am sure most of you are too. It's been a long winter, way too long LOL.
Today I have an Easter card I want to share with you.

The stamps I used are from Close to my heart,Penny Black and Pressum. I used my new Martha Stewart punch and I love it! I also used the Creative Memories corner rounder. My hot pink ribbon is from Walmart. Oh do I love using satin ribbons and my bowmaker. The Cardstock is Stampin Up and the designer paper is from DCWV "Sweet". Memento black ink was used and copic markers as were Spica pens. I also used a small amount of flower soft for the center of the daisy flowers. Well that's it for now! Blest with a wonderful pet

Today I am sharing a card I made for a friend a while ago, but it is in honor of my pet Max, who we had to put down two days ago, that I am sharing it now. He was a very funny, tenacious little fellow that came to us from a rescue group at the age of about 3 yrs old, he was 11 yrs old now. He had been abused and came with issues, but with alot of love he came around nicely. We
will miss him terribly but we know he is no longer in so much pain.
His picture is below on Thursday March 11th's posting ,he is the little guy curled up in the bed

Good bye my Mr. Max,
you were well loved and we will miss you terribly!
Love
Lana

Vintage Lady

Hi everyone, It sure has been hectic around here lately. My back problems have resurfaced again as well as my MIL is in the hospital. She is 94 yrs old and is having a very difficult time with her lungs, but hopefully with the Lord's help, she will be back up and helping out at the nursing home soon,
something she loves to do.

Here is a card I did today, in between laundry loads.

I love doing vintage cards! This beautiful lady image is from Art freebies, you should go there and see all the wonderful art work and its free! The CS and word stamp are from SU. I used the Earthy designer paper from Crafty Secrets. The lace is from JoAnn's sale bin. I also used Tim Holtz distress inks, which I adore using. My embellishments are a bracelet from the dollar store that I took apart and sewed on. So that is it for today. I hope you liked it and that you will come back soon.

My Pets

I thought today since I do not have a new card done for you, that I would take a minute and introduce you to the pet members of my family. The littlest one is Max, he is getting up there in age poor guy, and is a bit cranky at times. But aren't we all LOL. The bigger one is Brodie, he is such a sweet young dog. The little one barely tolerates the big one trying to snuggle LOL. But they get along really well dispite their age and size.
So that is just a small glimpse into part of my family.

I went to Darlene's for a play date today. I had lots of fun with her and Terri, those two are a hoot when they get to teasing LOL. Thanks Darlene and Terri for all the laughs I had a great time! Hopefully tomorrow I will have a card for you.
Hope you come back and visit again!

Midnight Madness Sketch Callenge # 44

 Hello everyone!
I have been busy trying to get some sewing projects done, that I keep putting off, that's why I have not been posting much lately. Sewing is not something I truly enjoy any more, but, sometimes I just have to do some LOL. Well enough of that, on to my MMSC # 44 challenge card. My camera didn't take the truest of colors for some reason, the ribbon looks blue when it perfectly matches the flower, not sure why.

I used Stampin Up's, Orchid Opulence C.S. and their brads. The designer paper is DCWV, "sweet".
My ribbon is from Walmart. I just love using satin ribbon! The flowers are from Hobby Lobby, and the punch is a MS punch. This adorable bunny stamp is "Bonnet Bunny", from Penny Black. I think she is just so sweet. I used memento black ink then colored her using my Copic markers. I also used a gelly roll pen on the little butterflies. So there you have my MMSC #44 card.
Hope she has brought a smile to your face.
Until next time, may God richly bless you!

Midnight Madness Sketch Callenge # 43

Finally we are having lots of sunshine!!!!!!!!!!! Still on the cool side here in NE Ohio but at least we have sunshine! It seems like it has been a very long winter for some reason. So I am very thankful to see the glorious sunshine today! I hope where you live, that your having the same wonderful weather.
Now on to my MMSC #43  challenge card

I made this card using SU cardstock and designer paper. The ribbon is from Walmart. I colored with my Copic markers and used crystal effects on all the ladybugs, which is hard to see in the pictures. The Happy Birthday stamp is also SU. The ladybug stamps are all from differnt places and I have no idea who makes them, sorry. I cut out and used pop dots on all the ladybugs to make a 3-D effect. Twas a tough challenge for me this time but still lots of fun. I hope you will join in at Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge, it sure does get you out of your comfort zone and stretch your creativity!! I am having so much fun particitating in their challenges, you should give it a try.
Till the next time, enjoy God's beauty all around you!

"Snowy" the Snowman

Hello everyone, not sure if it's cold where you live, but here in N.E. Ohio it is still cold with lots of snow on the ground. So I thought I would share this sweet little snowman card I made, maybe he will warm your heart!

This cute little snowman, is a Penny Black stamp called "Snowy". I fell in love with him the first time I saw him at Archiver's. The ribbon, cardstock and markers that I used are from SU. The cool word stamp is, Wordsworth, from Rubber Soul. I found it at the "Stamp Pad" in Zoar, a GREAT Stamping store to shop at! The snowflake punch, I can not find a name on it and I do not remember where I got it, its been so long ago. I stamped the image on glossy cardstock and sponged the edges with pods. I have made this same card before as a postcard and it really worked great and saved on postage too. Well I hope this little guy warmed your heart, as he has mine. Hope you come back again for another visit.
