Vintage Lady

This afternoon my friend Kris came and we played in my
craft room, oh what fun we had!! She brought her new
Webster Papers and shared some with me, they are awesome.
Thanks Kris!!! Now I have to go shopping for them!!
You are such an enabler! LOL Kris was such a sweetie
not only did she share her papers but she brought supper too!!
Home made minestrone soup and chicken squares, yummy!!!!!!!
I am not one who likes to cook at all, so what a treat this day was!
Stamping, homemade dinner and great company doesn't
get much better then this! God bless you Kris.
Here is what I made with her fabulous paper.

As usual it looks so much better IRL.
I used her Webster paper, my gold embellishments and black
ribbon are from Michaels. The beautiful Vintage Lady is
"Lottie" from Heart Art Studio, Impression Obsession.
I used a gold gel pen to outline with. I also cut out the
webster paper and then used dimensionals to layer up
the outer areas. Sorry I tried to take pictures of that so you
could see the 3D look but they didn't come out at all.
Thanks again Kris for a great day!

P.S. I am still trying to figure out my light tent. So I have not
used it yet for posting but I hope to get it figured out soon
and have better pictures to share.

Darlene Challenges me

Today I am sharing a note card set that Darlene ,challenged
me to make and post at the same time she does LOL!
Hopefully I do this right or my blog teacher
may get mad at me and make me go do
house work instead of stamping LOL.We saw a
really beautiful note card set on
Laurie Schmidlin's blog that inspired us to
make one. For detailed information go to Laurie's blog ,
she has them all written. No sense me
trying to type already written instructions, I'd rather
be stamping LOL. If you knew how long it takes me
to type something you would
understand my reluctance!! LOL
Thank you so much Laurie for sharing your
wonderful note card set with us!
Now here's mine.

I used ODBD stamp set, "Lift up our hands". ODBD has so
many wonderful Christian stamp sets you should go check
them out!! Please tell Kelley I sent you! The designer paper I used
is unknown, my ribbon is from Walmart and I used the
Fleur De Lis nestabilities. The small gold embellishments
are from Michaels. I also used a gold glaze pen to
go over some of the image in a few spots to add
a little sparkle. Well I hope you liked my note set and
that it inspired you to make one too.

Ah spring where are you!!!
The ribbon is from Michaels as is the lace trim and the flowers are from Hobby Lobby. Satin leaf ribbon trim is from The Flower Factory that a good friend Terri gave me. All brads are from SU
I pray your having a wonderful day today. It looks like we are in for lots more snow tomorrow, hope you aren't LOL.

Whipper Snapper "Ducky"

This little duck is just too adorable. The minute I saw her
at "The Stamp Shack", a wonderful Amish Stamp store
in Mespotamia, Ohio, I knew I had to have her.
The Stamp Shack is another favorite Stamp store
of mine! If you go there, say "Hi" to Mary Anne for me!!

                                                                         inside

This adorable little duck is from
"Whipper Snapper". The cool inside
saying is from "The Stamp Pad" in Zoar. Gosh my two favorite
stamp stores in one posting LOL.
Well, it is time for me to get off and put ice on my neck
again. Burrrr it's too darn cold for ice in this cold weather,
but heat just doesn't help this. LOL
Hope you sleep well and come back soon.

Sweatshirt Card

Sorry I have been MIA, my back & neck problems have
been acting up again, and I have had to go to the Dr several times.
But I am back and hope you all have been stamping away
and enjoying life!

Today's card is one that is so much fun to make, and is
really great for using in scrapbooks as well as for many other neat
projects. I have used my Just Rites and have personlized them
for my cutomers that I sell to as well as for my
own Grandchildren. The card folds at the shoulders, and
I cut out the neck area. My sweatshirt and money stamp
are from, "Too much fun rubber stamps". The word stamp on the
front is custom made from SU, the paw print and phone
are also from SU. I used red eyeletes and white twine. The stamp
on the back is from Michaels.
Hope you enjoyed seeing this unique card.

Harley Vest Card

Happy Saturday!

Today's posting will be a short one,
I just got my new light tent and need to set it up and see
if I can get any better pictures or if it is the fault of
the photographer. Hum, maybe I can blame the camera,
yeah that works for me LOL!! So hopefully in the future
the pictures I post will be better ones. Here is a Vest card
I made for my husband a while ago. For further
information on it please go to
Hope you like it. It sure was fun to make and
seeing His reaction to it made it priceless.

Well I am off to play with my tent! I hope you have a wonderful
weekend and thanks for stopping by.

Sugar Nellie "Daisy"

Well I decided to post a second Sugar Nellie tonight.
This little sweetie is called
 "Daisy"

Isn't she sweet, I wonder what she is thinking?

(inside)

As you can see I went with very bright primary colors on this one.
Again I used my prismacolor pencils and gamsol to color with.
The ribbon is from Michaels, all the CS is from SU. I didn't
have yellow brads so I colored white ones with my sharpie
marker worked really good. The stamp on the front is from
SU, the really neat saying on the inside is from "The Stamp Pad" in Zoar!
Hi June!!
Well I hope you have enjoyed my cards tonight
and will come back and visit again soon
Hugs

Sugar Nellie " A Good Book"

Good evening everyone, hope your day has been a good one.
The sun has actually appeared here today, I had
almost forgotten what it looked like LOL.

Yesterday I made this cute little
Sugar Nellie card.
I like the soft, pastel look of it.
This sweet Sugar Nellie is called "A Good Book".
I used Inque designer paper and SU, sage shadow cardstock.
The leaves are made using the MS branch punch.
The ribbon, flower and brad are unknown.
The get well stamp is from SU.
It was colored with my prismacolor pencils and gamsol.
I hand cut the designer paper in the shape of a rug and ran
it through my herringbone emboss folder to
mimic the look of a braided rug. IRL it kinda looks like it to me.
I am sorry the photo isn't very good, I'm having
some issues with my camera or it's having issues
with me LOL.Well that's it for today.
May God Bless you!

This is the inside.

Called "Flowers" as well as the Crafty Secrets Classic Paper Designs.
The ribbon is from Walmart. The nestibilites I used were
the "Fleur De Lis" set and the wonderful stamp
on the inside are ones that I got from
my all time Favorite Stamp store
Called "The Stamp Pad" in Zoar ,Ohio
 "Hi June!!!"
The gold metal tag is from Michaels and it says
"Dream" but is hard to see in the photo, sorry.

Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge #41

I guess the Challenge bug has bitten me LOL !

Here is my MMSC #41 card.

If you have not done a challenge before,
I highly recommend just getting started and do one.
You will be amazed, it is alot of fun! Even if
you do not have a blog or do any uploading,
step outside your comfort zone and get started.
In this card I used a stamp from my Friend Darlene
called "Willow as bride" from Whiff of Joy, isn't she so
serene looking. I used SU cardstock ,some unknown
paper from my stash. The ribbon is from Michaels as are
the flowers. I also used the MS branch punch, my all time
favorite punch! I colored Willow with my Copic markers.
I am a beginner using Copics, so please be patient with me.
Have a wonderful day!

ODBD Challenge

Last night I decided to do another challenge, this
one from one of my favorite on-line stamp stores,
          Our Daily Bread Designs.
This challenge was to use their stamp
"Footprints in the Sand" and to put buttons on it. Wow! Was that hard for me to do, but here is what I ended up with. I used the Footprints in the Sand stamp ,then colored it with prismacolor pencils and gamsol, some distress inks, and several layers of CS. I also used magic mesh from SU, and some black grosgrain ribbon for the cross. The sea shells my grandchildren brought me from Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. The metal "HOPE" tag is an old one from Michaels. Now for the button LOL surprise, it is the wooden heart on the cross that is an actual button, I outlined it with my copper glaze pen. So there you have it.
Thanks for stopping by and visiting awhile. I hope you will share my new blog with your friends. Please share your comments and critiques, I love hearing from you!
Have a wonderful day hope to see you soon!
God bless
Lana

Sugar Nellie "Catch A Butterfly"

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY !

I hope your enjoying your Valentine's day
with family and loved ones !
Today my card to share is a Sugar Nellie cutie, "Catch a butterfly". I colored it in with prismacolor pencils and gamsol. As you can see for this card I didn't use the butterflie's, since it was for Valentine's day I used the nestabilities hearts instead. This cutie would also be great holding up balloons or a caption of some sort, oh so many ideas just running around in this empty head of mine LOL. I made this card a few weeks ago and could not part with it, so it's still sitting in my craft room for me to look at LOL. She reminds me of my own daughters when they were small, oh so long ago!
Hope your relaxing and staying warm,
burrrr its cold here in NE Ohio!!
Thanks for stopping by!
Hugs Lana

Stamp Simply Challenge #126

Today I am sharing with you my
This is my Vintage Valentine card that I made using a free image from
They have awesome images and products! I just fell in love with this one the minute I saw it. The Challenge is to use just green & purple and it must be very simple & easy to do. This is my first time doing one of Sharon's challenges!

Well what can be simpler then using that beautiful preprinted image, on some lovely designer paper from Stampin Up along with the MS heart punch and some satin ribbon from Michaels. Easy as can be and so vintage. Can you tell I love vintage things!! Maybe because I'm vintage myself LOL
Hope your all having a wonderful weekend and thanks for stopping by!!

Midnight Madness Sketch Challenges # 40

Good afternoon everyone! We are having light flurries today,
which is fine with me as long as it stays light LOL. I have finally tried my hand at doing one of the many challenges out there.
This one is for Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge #40.
I hope you enjoy it.

It's hard to see in the picture but the butterflies have
gold glitter dots on them which is from the Mariposa paper stack that I bought at JoAnne's. I have added gold glitter dots with my Spica pen in the frame surrounding the vintage lady to match the designer paper.
The Vintage lady is from JoAnne's made by Rubber Stampede. It was fun stepping out of my comfort zone doing this. I will certainly be doing more Challenges in the future.
Hope you come back soon.
 Wishing you many blessings!

my SCS gallery
you have probably already seen it .

I used the butterfly nestabilities
 and the textile texture embossing
folder as well as the neat saying
that I got from my all time
favorite stamp store
 located in Zoar, Ohio
http://www.zoarstamps.com/

If you stop in please

Bunny card

Happy Sunday to all of you!
It is so pretty outside today!
We are blest with lots of beautiful sunshine !!
It appears most people around here have finally gotten
dug out from all the snow. I believe we got about a foot or more.

Today I thought I would share a card I did for a
good friend of mine who loves animals. This adorable little
bunny is from Stacy Stamps.I colored it with prismacolor
pencils & gamsol, then I put a layer of acetate over top of it.
I glued it down just under the corner holders so the glue would not show.

I pray your day is a good one and that it's filled with lots of sunshine!!!!

Vintage Valentine Easel

Since it is snowing outside, and my friend Kris is back again visiting with me, we decided to post another card for you to view. This is my version of the popular easel card. I hope you like it. I love working with the vintage papers and embellishments. This paper is from Fancy Pants & I got it at a wonderful new little stamp store in Medina, Ohio called Bee Scrappy . (Hi ,Erin)
Enjoy your evening, hope you're staying warm!

Masculine Valentine

Hello everyone out in blog land! It is starting to snow here in NE Ohio. I guess we are to get alot of snow but not as bad as other parts of the state, which I am thankful for. I thought today you might like to see a masculine Valentine's card I made for a 16 yr old boy who loves golf. If you look closely at the white heart you will see that I used the tiny bubbles emboss folder but then I turned the heart over so it looked sort of like the outside of a golf ball. The ribbon is from Michaels but it too is the back side of the ribbon LOL guess it was a backwards day for me LOL. Hope your staying warm and dry. God bless!
